On The North, brumby fights are determined using a point system that relates to your horses age, condition and fighting experience. Fights can occur anywhere, and at any time - though if we follow a realistic pattern, should happen more often in the breeding seasons and over land and food.
When a fight is to occur, pm me with the thread location, and the outcome will be determined. Not only will your horses fight stat be used, but also the fight will be determined by a dice roll.
The following is a list of how your stallion/mare obtains their fight stats:
+1 at birth +1 if their sire is the King +1 point for each year of age up to 6. (The prime of a horses life is age 5) +2 points if they are the King +1 for every fight lost, for experience +2 for every fight won, for experience and success -2 if they have fought recently, due to the condition they will be in after their last fight. (Note - "recent" is up to two weeks RL) -2 points for each year after 10, due to age and condition.
The dice role:
Example - Stallion one has 10 points, and Stallion two has 8. Stallion one has the numbers 1-10, and Stallion two has the numbers 11-18. A random number between 1 and 18 is rolled, and whoever's number bracket it falls in, that's who wins. A random number generator is used, which makes the descision fair. The system makes the fight outcome based on luck and skill.
However if the lesser skilled stallion has half or less than half the points as their opponent, they will automatically lose.
When the outcome has been decided by this system, the players are free to play out the fight. It is up to the players how much damage they take, but a stallion with a higher statistic would inflict more damage on one with a lower stat. It is up to you if your character dies as a result of the fight, this is never determined by the staff team unless a horse enters a fight with negative points. If they don't die from the beating, they'd die from the wounds soon after. Your horse is not immortal.
